Hello and Welcome!

My name is Caroline Elward-Ryan and I am the founder of The Willow Tree SLT. I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist having achieved a postgraduate diploma from City University in 2015. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Health Care Professions council. I am also registered as an independent therapist with the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).

I founded The Willow Tree Speech and Language Therapy service following the birth of my daughter, Willow, in 2020 and I enjoyed providing my services to families, schools and nurseries across the borough of Richmond-upon-Thames for 3 years thereafter. In May 2023, I moved with my family back to my home town of Folkestone, Kent, where I continue to support those with speech, language and communication needs and their families.

I specialise in working with under 5’s, as well as with autistic adults and children and those with moderate to severe learning needs. I also have vast experience working with a range of other client groups - from school-age children with speech sound difficulties to older adults with learning disabilities in residential settings. I have experience working within the NHS as well as in independent schools and colleges in London (both mainstream and specialist provisions). I have also provided Speech and Language Therapy services internationally, in Delhi, India.
